Cocktail Recipe Recipe

Moscow Mule

1 1/2 oz. Vodka, 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice, Ginger Beer

Fill Copper Mug with ice, Squeeze lime juice over ice and build with vodka & top with Ginger Beer.

The Moscow Mule may actually be the first vodka cocktail. Vladmir Schmirnoff sold the rights to a gentleman in France after fleeing Riussia. The new owner brought the recipe to the States, where he set up a distillery. In his travels to sell this new spirit shortly after Prohibition, he met up with the tavern owner of Hollywood's Cock N' Bull in 1946. Someone supposedly was selling copper mugs then and due to an over abundance of Ginger Beer, this cocktail took off as a local favorite and then spread. It has made quite a comeback, as I write this in 2017 as a most popular drink.
Substitute Rum & you have a Dark and Stormy!
