Cocktail Recipe

1 1/4 oz. Rum, Lime Juice & a dash of Simple Syrup or use Sour mix

Shake with ice, Serve up in a Flute or on the rocks, Garnish with a Lime wedge

The Daiquiri has been around since the turn of the century when plain old Rum needed to be spruced up. It made its way to the US when an Admiral brought the recipe back to the Army and Navy Club in Washington. This was JFK's favorite cocktail. Hemmingway also loved this cocktail, but being a diabetic, made his without sugar, but supposedly double the rum.

Many frozen variations are availble also.

July 19th is National Daiquiri Day!
