Here's an easy but delightful twist to our favorite Jell-O shots for any American patriotic gathering.

  • 2 3-ounce gelatin packages of blue and red
  • 1 bag of miniature marshmallows or frozen whipped topping
  • Non-stick cooking spray

  • Line up individual plastic souffle cups on trays to fit in freezer.
  • Spray cups with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Dissolve red gelatin in 3/4 cup of boiling water.
  • Let cool to room temperature.
  • Add 3/4 cup of vodka.
  • Pour a little bit in each cup.
  • Stick in freezer until set.
  • Working with a little of the marshmallows at a time, microwave until soft.
  • Spoon a bit over the red gelatin in the cups.
  • Return to freezer.
  • Prepare blue gelatin in the same manner as the red.
  • Pour over the marshmallows in the cups.
  • Cap each and chill until firm.

  • Keep chilled.
  • If transporting to a party, keep them in an ice filled cooler.
  • Whipped topping can be substituted for the marshmallows.
  • If substituting, make sure you work with it frozen.
