Poached Apples with Honey & Sherry

Now this is what I call comfort food, good old fashioned poached apples, but with a delightful twist of flavor.


4 Large cooking apples

3/4 Cup Dry sherry

3/4 Cup Honey

2 Tbsp. Lemon juice


Peel, core and slice apples. Warm Sherry, honey and lemon juice almost to a boil. Add slices and simmer 10 minutes or until tender. Cool and serve with Chantilly Cream or sour cream.
