Thanksgiving Cocktails

Thanksgiving comes but once a year, and it epitomizes the true form of gluttony. So, why on earth doesn't it have its own cocktails?

Well, thanks to my friend Johnn-O Daly from Daly's Bar and Package, we tried a few concoctions and came up with three Wild Turkey based drinks each with a unique flavor. I hope you enjoy them as much as we had fun coming up with them.

Rock Gobbler

This is a near form of a Rock Lobster, but has all the goodies you'd expect for Thanksgiving like nuts, cranberries and of course turkey.

1/2 oz. Wild Turkey
3/4 oz. each of Chambord, Amaretto, and Cranberry juice

Shake well with ice. Strain into a chilled glass for a shooter, or pour over ice in a highball glass and garnish with a lime wedge.

Tootie Fruity Turkey

Here's a lighter drink that is sure to please the ladies. It isn't too sweet, but has a bit of a zing to it.

Equal parts of Wild Turkey, Peach Schnapps, and Orange juice

Place all in a shaker with ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass or pour over rocks in a highball glass.

Fried Turkey

This is not one for the faint of heart, and has a very warming effect!

Equal parts of Wild Turkey and Jagermeister

Pour both into a shot glass. Pour a bit of 151 rum into a bar spoon and ignite. Slowly and carefully pour into the shot.
Extinguish and shoot.
