A hangover is the wrath of grapes.

The best way to avoid a hangover is not to drink. Okay, sure. How about drinking in moderation to avoid getting a hangover? All right, so we over did it and now were stuck with a throbbing headache, a stomach that feels like a million roller coaster rides, and a mouth that might have doubled as last night's garbage can. Of course, we'll never do it again, but what do we do this morning?

Dealing with a Hangover

  • Don't drink to begin with.
  • If you have time, take two aspirins or drink an Alka Seltzer and go back to sleep.
  • Drink lots of water, gatorade or sweet tea.
  • Eat something, preferably high in Vitamin B's.
  • Spicy foods help some.
  • Give it time.
  • Vow never to do it again.

  • Never take Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen in conjunction with drinking. It may damage your liver.
  • The hair of the dog that bit you can sooth severe cases, but is not recommended.
  • A Virgin Mary sometimes does wonders.

There really is no sure cure but time and rest. Roll back over and sleep as much as you can. Just make sure to hydrate yourself.
